Its a sinking ship!

Hi all!

I know its been forever! I'm so sorry about that. Finals hit me and before I knew it I was sleeping off the aftermath of my Sophomore year.

Some photos of Survey should be up soon, and I'll try to get as much work as I can together for posting soon. Only problem?

My hard drive just broke. So I'll have to see what I have backed up on my computer that I can show for myself.

In the meantime I have this painting, which I used for a movie poster for Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo. It was for my Methods and Media class, made using multiple media (acrylic paint, marker, gold ink).

Ok, so I've been missing for a VERY long time and I apologize for that!

Been super busy and have been lacking access to a scanner, so today I brought a pile of stuff and put it all on the computer!

Enjoy!

Some recent and retouched work

Just got through my 6 art classes final today. Its called Survey, and you have to pin up 3 complete pieces from each class you took (in my case 6) on a very small space...

I'll post some photos of my wall soon. For now here's some eye candy to hold you all over.

BEFORE YOU ASK:

No, I did NOT win a competition. There are 25 OTHER posters exactly like this from all the other students in my Design Procedures class, each claiming that THEY won the competition.

It was part of the assignment.

Assignment:
Create a poster for your completed stamp that emulates YOUR stamp design.

The arrangement of type was intentionally placed to echo the stamp (top left corner!).

CC welcome.

Another attempt at painting - Acrylic style!

Almost a whole month without posting! Sorry!!! I've been really busy! My semester ends in three weeks!

This time around I'm painting for my Illustration class. Assignment was to illustrate this story on a 10"x14" page:

Bedtime Story
"Careful, honey, its loaded," he said, re-entering the bedroom.
Her back rested against the headboard. "This for your wife?"
"No. Too chancy. I'm hiring a professional."
"How about me?"
He smirked. "Cute. But who'd be dumb enough to hire a lady hit man?"
She wet her lips, sighting along the barrel. "Your wife"
